You just brought your new puppy home and it won’t stop whining. Complaints are coming in from the neighbors and you just don’t know what to do. You don’t want to get rid of the new pup, but at the same time you want to stop the dog from whining. How do you do this? Here a some ways you can stop your dog from whining. There is one way to stop him with an electrical device that gives of a not very pleasant sound that only the dog can hear. Whenever you hear your dog begin to whine, you need to be consistent in telling him to stop. You will need to be there all the time, or at least most of it, but after awhile your dog will stop the whining and will be quiet once more. Of course there are other ways to make your dog stop whining, and to stop many other behaviors, but we’ll focus on these two for now.

Sound devices to make your dog stop whining are not that expensive and they really don’t hurt the dog. They just emit a sound that’s unpleasant to the dog. Imagine if you were to hear a loud piercing squeal every time you ate junk food. Pretty soon you’d probably stop eating junk food because you couldn’t bear to hear that sound ever again. Here’s the idea behind devices that will make your dog stop whining. If you may be worried that your dog will be annoyed or hurt by the use of devices there are other ways you can train your dog to stop the whining.

The other way to make your dog stop whining is to be there whenever it starts to whine. Tell him no or make a loud noise when he does. You should never under any circumstances hit your dog. Never should you hit your dog, no matter what he does. There are ways to make your dog stop whining, or any type of bad behavior, other than hitting. To make your dog stop whatever behavior you want him to you could clap your hands together loudly or hit something against your hand. Because a dog has much more sensitive ears than we do, the devices I mentioned work so well, and even tho it does not bother us to have a newspaper slapped against a palm, it really bothers your dog. You need to do this each time the dogs whines. If you are consistent your dog will soon get the idea and stop his whining, so that you and the rest of the neighbors will get the peace and quiet you so need
