There are many reasons dogs bark.It’s not a dangerous habit, true. It’s actually a communication tool for dogs. However, overly loud barking is annoying.Left as it is, barking is a cause for concern.
The key to undoing your dog’s excessivee barking is understanding what triggers the behavior and dealing with it.Below are helpful ways to deal with your dog’s barking problem:

1.Regularly feed your dog.When they start getting hungry, dogs will instinctively bark for food.There’s a unique doggie howl, bark or growl for when they’re hungry.Feeding your dog on a specific schedule lets him to settle into a feeding routine, making barking unnecessary.
2.Allow your dog enough exercise daily.Dogs are very energetic; they need rigorous daily exercise.They get edgy otherwise.Whether it’s rain or shine on any given day, let your dog have enough exercise - no excuses.When the sun is out, just be inventive with indoor exercises.
3.Buy your dogs some playthings or another animal for company.Because they’re pack animals, dogs are likely to suffer from separation anxiety if kept to themselves for hours.Having a toy or another animal to have fun with rids the dog of anxiety.If you’re entertaining a neighbor with their dog along, don’t let yours see this.Keep yourself beyond your dog’s auditory range when you’re up to something interesting.Dogs enjoy fun things with their masters and would bark to have you know they want to join you.
4.Teach your pet when it’s fine to bark and when it’s not.Teach your dog to respond to, “Be still” or “Quiet”.Dogs get very protective of their territories.They bark at anything unusual .Being warned to strange things or people around your house is a good thing.But beyond that, you want your dog not to bark at normal people passing by - joggers, kids playing and such.Your dog needs to learn to recognize threats and bark only at them.Most importantly, teach your dog to quit barking on, “Quiet.”.
