   Crate training is the best way to potty train a dog. You should not free feed a puppy. You should feed them according to the directions on the food. You just have to ignore it at night. It will shut up after a few nights.

   Dogs can get to obiese and die to paper train it takes pateience wherever the dog poops/ and or pees put a pad there and they will eventuall y get the idea

   I don’t know where your pup sleeps but if it is in a crate try putting a stuffed animal in there with it otherwise let it whine…it might take a few days but he/she will stop eventually.
   Everytime you notice that the pup has to go potty put it on the paper,soon it will understand that this is the place to go,but watch out and don’t have important paper laying on the floor as it might go on there as well (experience lol).

   6 weeks is too young for the puppy to be away from its monther and siblings. Take it back to the breeder for at least 2 more weeks.

   eat itself to death….that sounds like my bloodhound, hank. he eats when ever there is food availabel. Don’t over feed him or he will get fat and you will have more messes to clean up. I don’t know what paper training is.

   I was never much for paper training–I prefer my dogs to go outside. But if you must, there are pads you can buy at the pet store that are supposed to entice puppies to use them. If she does use it, then take it outside with her to go so she can get used to what area you want her to use as her bathroom. As for crying, if she doesn’t have to go outside, she’s probably lonely. I’m not one for crates, so our dogs end up in bed with us. Yes, they are spoiled, and we don’t care.

   The cause of their mothers heart weeks is in my opinion weeks is in blanket and that sound was soothing for her something about it reminds them.

   My opinion weeks too early and the puppy may have worms gave my puppy may have worms gave my puppy ticking old fashioned alarm clock wrapped in blanket and that worms could be the puppy ticking old.

   W. is sooo correct! Six weeks is way too young to be taken from the siblings. It takes at least 8 weeks for the pup to socialize with it’s siblings. However, since you have the pup..just have patience. Don’t expect too much for now. Place paper around and try to give pup an idea of what you require of it. But that is way too young for it to understand. Sorry must edit..as for the feeding..do not put out food for it to constantly eat.. a pup will feed as long as you have food out. Limit the amount. Follow directions on the dog food pkg. preferably puppy food. AND no scraps!

   Keep the puppy in a small area, preferably an Ex pen or small room. When he pees, absorb some of the pee with paper and put the paper where you want him to go. Puppies at 6 weeks can pee easily every 15-20 minutes, so put him on the paper every 15-20 minutes.

   At 10 weeks, start working at training him to go outside…put some of his soiled paper on the grass outside and he’ll start to get the idea. Again, when he’s out of his pen, take him outsie every 15-20 minutes. When inside, keep him in a small crate with a blanket, he won’t pee in there as it’s his bed as long as you are getting him out to pee frequently enough.

   When he cried at night, ignore it. Have him sleep the same room as you in a small crate (sized so it’s right for sleeping and not enough room to pee on one end and sleep in the other) when he cries, bang on the top of the crate and say “NO!!” very sternly. Keep doing that, do not let him out, or he will have gotten his way.

    It will take a few weeks to paper train. He is still too young. Puppies often cry in the middle of the night..they are away from their mom and are scared.

    First thing you should do is take your puppy to a qualified veterinarian and have the pup thoroughly checked over. The veterinarian will probably suggest certain foods for the pup to maintain it’s health while in it’s growing stages.

    Puppy cries because he doesn’t like being alone. Crating him for the night might be your best bet. Eventually, he will get tired of hearing himself. There are “Pet Buddies” at stores such as PetsMart that you can get that imitate a heartbeat or other puppy sounds and is inside a stuffed animal. This can soothe puppy for the night… However, if you crate your pup, expect him to have messes in the morning. Young pups of this age, don’t seem to have sense that they’ve messed on themselves and leaving you a big mess to clean up in the morning. You can also consider child blocks to put on the doorways around your home where you don’t want puppy to go. You could put him in the bathroom with the door shut or in the tub (with lots of papers and blanket, as the tub is cold); depends on how big your pup is and whether he can get out.

    In the meantime, I would feed puppy about once every 4 to 6 hours around the clock. He’s a youngster and needs lots of nutrition.

    Just remember the better quality of food you feed your dog, the less poop you’ll have and will give MORE NUTRITION to the pup. If the dog is getting the proper nutrition, he won’t eat as much. Dogs have a tendency to eat more when something is missing in their diet. Better dog foods provide what the dog needs and tho’ they may cost more, in the long run, they actually will cost less, because your dog is nutritionally balanced and will wean himself to eat less because he’s getting more. Hope that makes sense, because it is very true.

    Your puppy can’t eat himself to death… tho’ he may try. It’s not good for him to constantly be overfed, tho’. Just like humans, this will develop bad habits for him in the future. Put puppy on a feeding schedule and stick to it. You should allow him only so much per day. Check with the recommended feeding for your breed of dog. I know that there are many dog sites online. However, I would recommend Purina who has a great site to check and often offers incentives and coupons for signing up on their site. See the link below.

    LOL…. that’s funny ok first training do what u do with a child and every time he eats or that u notice that he need to go or asking u to go out then put him or her on the paper n keep doing it over n over n he will eventually get it.Have a treat handy for when he does for the first couple of times cuz treats always help when training for anything.
    As far as crying at night it could be bcuz he needs to go out or is lonely.If u have trouble training u could always make a schedule for when u let him outside and then instead of letting him out at those times keep putting him on the paper.They r very smart so he will get it.Good luck n don’t give up.

    I now have a 6 month old yorkie and i got him at 6 weeks, i loved him so much i let him sleep with me but he started crapping all over the house so then i got a baby gate and little puppy pads and within a week as long as i put him behind that gate he would go on the puppy pads but then i couldn’t get him to go outside, so i had to invest in a kennel, he cried bloody murder for a month, not a few days like most people say, A MONTH! As I became consistent in taking him outside as soon as i let him out of the kennel and every hour or few hours he became consistent with going potty outside, anyway you can train him on the paper but then you will have to teach him to go outside and that will be a fight because he won’t want to after he’s gotten comfortable on the paper so your best bet is to keep him in his kennel as much as possible no matter how much he hates it, he needs to learn that is his room. Ignore when he cries in there, he is just manipulating you to let him out. YOU are the leader of the pack, he thinks of you as his pack so he always want to be under you,
    Be tough and don’t give in, and let him no those wonderful keywords, “NO NO”, ignore the look he gives you, he will soon learn what those words mean. And after all this training he will be one of the most behaved dogs! and most of all BE CONSISTENT!!!! Or he will not be!!!!

    6 weeks is too early to expect paper training or outside training. My vet told me a puppy doesn’t have full control of their bladder or bowels until it is approximately 16 weeks. When my puppy cried I let it sleep with me, now he is 7 yrs old and he still sleeps at the bottom of my bed. It helped too when he was being house trained, because when he woke up and started to get off the bed, I’d wake and take him outside. During the day when I couldn’t be home, he was crated. He used to see me put my coat on and go in his crate with his blankets and lay down, I didn’t even have to coax him.
