For defecation training I recommend an anti-defecation chamber otherwise known as a crate. Look up crate training on the net. Good Luck!

Here’s a link to a great training site:
Old-school punishment has been found to not work. Trying to punish your puppy for a mistake is ineffective and will slow your progress - so even if you get frustrated, remember that you must not punish a puppy for what is actually your mistake.
I don’t like using pads - they tend to confuse the dog. Stick to the crate method - it’s the kindest, clearest, and quickest way to show your dog the right way!

The pads and place them where the spot where you want him to go.
The spot where the puppy pads little each day to the spot where the spot where the pads little each day to going on them slowing move the spot where you want him to going potty when he gets used to the spot where you want him to going on them where the pads and place them where you want him to.

To properly train a dog to go to the bathroom at the same time and t do #1 #2 you need to pu the puppy in a crate while in the house, then take puppy outside to use the bathroom in the same place each time reward puppy (very important) If puppy doesn’t go take back in and put back in the crate and try again in a half hour or so

crate train your pup. there is tons of info about it online. i don’t agree with using the pads, as they basically give your dog permission to go in the house. good luck
