Purchasing a Labrador puppy was a wonderful decision!  Labrador pups make amazing pets, and they’re really simple to train when you understand their character.  Labradors were bred for hunting and gathering intentions, therefore they’re incredibly active animals and require tremendous attention during training.  In this article I’m going to talk about the 5 methods of labrador puppy training that you can use to train your Labrador puppy.

Tip 1: Training on a leash.  Leash training is easiest when your puppy is young. It’s going to be more challenging to train your puppy if you wait until he/she gets bigger, as they’re more difficult to control (since they become larger dogs).  Begin your labrador puppy training on a leash ASAP.

Tip 2: Commands your puppy can painlessly understand.  Sit, stay, and come are a couple of the good commands you need to teach your pup at first.  More advanced commands should be taught as your puppy matures.

Tip 3: This tip is essential for labrador puppy training.  Do not punish your pup.  The reason I say this is that Labs, being extremely social animals, need a ton of care.  Bad attention will only bring up the bad conduct you do not want.  It’s very tough to do, I realize.  Nonetheless, if you do this, your puppy will get right down the line.

Tip 4: Instead, reward your pup’s good behavior.  Labrador puppy training is all about reward and attention.  Give your Lab a reward, such as a treat or a ton of love when he/she does something that makes you glad.  You need to add games and activities such as fetch or Frisbee while you’re rewarding your pup’s great behavior.

Tip 5: To conclude, you want to give your Lab a lot of tending.  Make 100% certain you do this.  You will then have a simpler time with your labrador puppy training.  If you don’t give sufficient attention, it is most likely for your pup to not act correctly.
